To those feeling lost in life:
Certain things that happen in life will leave us feeling lost. Regardless of what has occurred, the reason we feel lost is usually because
we would like to have more control over the circumstances surrounding our life at the moment. VVhen things are not unfolding as we
might choose, or when something very unexpected happens, this is when we feel that we don't have as much control as we may be
comfortable with. But imagming that we can ever have control over what is occurring in our life is a myth believed by many. Often we
trick ourselves in to feeling that we have control over what is occurring because our surroundings, the people around us, and the things
we are doing in our day-to-day life are familiar to us. Because we allow ourselves to be so trusting of our imagined security, we feel
truly jolted when something unexpected occurs; as it could at any moment. When something unexpected happens, it is likely that we
will come to feel disheartened or frustrated. But we should never feel this way; not for a moment. Because in this World, there are
unseeable forces existing that guide and govern where we go in life. Some people refer to these forces as the Powers of the Universe; others
use names such as God, Buddha, or Allah; and some prefer to call it our fate, or destiny. There will be times when these forces shall allow
something to happen to us and we won't immediately understand why it has occurred, but if we try to be good people, and believe that
we deserve only the best, our trust in these higher powers ensures we are always taken care of. As such, rather than becoming
disheartened or frustrated when we don't understand what is occurring, we should feel curious and excited. "I wonder what's going to
happen?' is a more nourishing thought than an angered, 'GWhy is this happening?' We will often be left with these feelings of uncertainty
for a lengthy period of time, and may endure many challenges and setbacks before we again feel at ease. Yet it is necessary for us to live
through these testing times, so that we fully value the clarity and meaning we meet with when things feel right again. If we always felt
that we knew what was going to happen next, we would never properly appreciate the unexpected changes that help us to move
forward in life. For now, the questions whirling about in the mind should be seen as locked doors, leading to unexplored kingdoms
which we have not yet been given keys for. We need not anguish about what hides behind these doors, even if passing through them
seems now as if it will be unendurable. Just know that at a certain point in time, all we await will inevitably be revealed to us. These
answers we wait for will come to us from a place which is beyond our cognition, only when the timing is right. And when they do,
when this uncertainty passes, and we feel that we understand why things are occurring as they are, life will make sense once again.
