Biblical Wisdom: Practice these Key Principles for Success
1. Put God first in your living and giving by practicing gratitude and generosity!

generously will reap generously. Each should give what he has decided in his heart to give.
not reluctantly or under compulsion. for God loves a cheerful giver. " (II Corinthians
2. Flee from greed and the love of money!
"People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and
harmful desires that plunge me into ruin and destruction, for the love of money is the root
ofall evil. Some people. eager for money. have wandered away/i•om the faith and pierced
themselves with many kinds ofgrief. " (I Timothy 6:9-12)
3. Seek contentment and live within your means
"Two things I ask of you. O Lord. do not refuse me before I die: Keepfalsehood and lies
from me: give me neither property nor riches but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise.
I may have too much and disown you and say. "Who is the Lord? " Or / may become poor
and steal. and so dishonor the name Of my God. " (Proverbs 30:7-9)
4. Practice long-range planning (3-5 years)
"Jesus asked. "Suppose one of you wants to builda tower. Will he notjirst set down and
estimate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?" (Luke: 14:28)
5. Develop a monthly spending plan and track all expenses
"Be sure to know the condition of your flocks. give careful attention to your herds; for
riches do not endure forever. and a crown is not secure for all generations. " (Proverbs
27:23-24)
6. Practice Generosity: "Earn all you can, save all you can, and give away all you can.
(John Wesley)
Earn — " Whatever you do. nork at it with all your heart. as if working for the Lord,
not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a
reward. (Colossians 3:23)
Save — "In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil. but afoolish man
devours all he has. (Proverbs and 2 1 :20)
