Santa's Prayer on
Christmas Eve
By Warnn D. Jennings
mie slagh was all packed, the remdeer were fed,
But Santa still knelt by the side of the bed.
"Dear Father," he prayed "Be with me tötught.
Ihere's much work to do Zid my schedule tight.
I must jutnp in my sletgh and streak tlrough the sky,
knowmg well that a reindeer can't fly.
I will visit each household before the first light,
I'll cover the world and all tn one tught.
With sleigh bells a-rü-ging, I'll land on each roof,
Arnid the soft clatter of each little hoof
To get in the house is the dffcult part,
So slide down the chimney of each child's heart
My sack will hold toys to gant all ther wtshes
The supply will be endless Eke the loaves and the fishes.
I fill all the stochngs and not leave a track
I'll eat every cookie that ts left for my snack
I can do a.ll these things Lord. only through You,
I Just need your blessmg, then it's easy to do.
tus is to honor the birth ofthe One,
was sent to redeem us, Your most Holy Son.
So to all of my friends, least Your glory I rob,
Please Lord, renund them who gave me this job."
